J
ack Davis is an award winning photographer/
artist and best-selling author, as well as a world-renowned lecturer on the role of the
new digital tools and the
creative professional. Jack
has multiple art degrees,
including a Master of
Fine Arts from SDSU.
Davis's passion for pushing the bounds of whatever medium he uses for his art is evident in all his work, whether it be digital photography (and his use of infrared, selective focus, or exaggerated motions studies), or digital paintings (in which he uses the computer to
expressively emulate traditional watercolors or
drybrush techniques).
Jack began surfing the beaches of Malibu in the late 60s and has been exploring

the world oceans for over 30 years while he lectures around the globe.
Davis's love of Mama and her waves is a common theme of his art and permeates his life here in North County, SanDiego, where he resides overlooking the famed Swami’s Point.
Prior to turning to writing, lecturing, painting and photographing full-time, Davis was the founding art director for three major creative companies in the San Diego area. For his lifetime contributions in the fields of

art, computer graphics and education, he was recently inducted into the Photoshop Hall of Fame.
Davis's fine art giclee prints are made using the finest acid-free artist papers, archival-pigmented inks, guaranteed to outlast traditional silver-based photographic prints (75-150 years) when framed under glass and exhibited out of direct sunlight.
